ABOUT ME

dsc_5413-900px-sept-20-2016

Hi and welcome to my blog! My name is Rosa and I am the writer, photographer, and recipe developer behind the food blog, For the Love of Italian Cooking. Here, you’ll find original, authentic Italian recipes (unless noted) that are inspired by my mom, my grandmothers, and the rest of my Italian family. My style of cooking is simple, unprocessed and seasonal, and baking is always done from scratch.

My family comes from southern Italy, and when they immigrated to Canada many moons ago, they also brought along their Calabrian traditions with them. I was born and raised in southern Ontario, Canada and am now living in northern Germany with my husband and three small boys. In my past life, I was a cubicle dweller and now I’m living my dream as a pastry chef at a local restaurant.

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you have, or just to say hello. I would love to hear from you! Please join me on my journey as I document my love for Italian cooking.

In cucina con amore,
Rosa
