Whenever I make this for dinner, there is always silence at the table. This is our favourite meat sauce. It’s thick, rich and full of fresh ingredients. Most sauces are simmered for long periods of time, but this one is ready in under an hour. I add an unusual, but common household ingredient that tenderises the meat. MINI ITALIAN MEATBALLS

This is a traditional Calabrian meatball made with half beef, half pork and seasoned with fresh garlic, parsley, grated Italian cheese, bread crumbs, and egg. Throw them in your sauce, in a soup, or make a sandwich, be as creative as you want. They will taste as if your Italian nonna made them. 🙂
